"I worked with the key personnel at La Fonda for 1.5 years for my high school's 50th reunion. Everything at the hotel exceeded expectations. The service was out of this world. Whether it was getting upgraded rooms, setting the menu, audio visual, hospitality suite, concierge services, music in the bar, etc. In one case we could not get a restaurant to answer so the concierge walked over and got the reservation. The food at our banquet in La Terraza ballroom was excellent. Not hotel food but food like you would have at home or one of your favorite restaurants. We did a one hour free docent tour of La Fonda and the history is just amazing. From the bellman to the General Manager, this hotel is outstanding. Interfacing with the Sales manager and the catering department was a real pleasure. If you want to plan a major event with a hotel that exceeds expectations go to La Fonda on the Plaza." We always stay in nice hotels, but your staff was unequaled with their attentiveness and caring attitude toward our “diverse” group. The weather was AMAZING! "THANKS!!! Everyone loved the retreat, and everyone (literally) commented on the La Fonda. This is the 10th retreat, the others were held in: LA, Denver, ABQ, Phoenix, Honolulu, Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Excelsior in Missouri, and in San Diego. None of the other hotels matched the"feel" of the La Fonda. It somehow manages to feel comfortable, elegant, and unique. The level of attention to detail with all of the craftsmanship and art along with the western casual results in a place where quality does not intimidate, and where all of our attendees were more open and engaged with each other, resulting in a new high standard for our event. Next year is Seattle, 2018 is Toronto, both organizers could not imagine how I pulled it off. The credit went to me, but you and Stephanie were the ones who deserved it. "The La Fonda hosted our 300+ Porsche cars event with even a few seven-figure cars and discerning travelers from as far as Australia and Germany. They were an outstanding hotel staff who became like-family in some cases. No request was too small. No time too late to help us with any guest's need. The room was plush, stylish, and unique. I loved my view down on the square where artists and craftsmen gathered to sell their wares. The food was flawless, parking secure, finer details all accounted for. Shops were just right for the area. I loved the history, and full-disclosure, my parents stayed here over 50 years ago. Stephanie led it all, and Rogalio was the man to make it all perfect. I must especially thank the reservation staff and the front desk staff who were so accommodating throughout the planning and the execution of our meeting. As you know, having a block of rooms reserved and working with the folks calling in is not a simple task. I heard from several of the attendees that La Fonda’s staff was the friendliest they had ever had the pleasure to deal with. They were also very pleased with the renovation of the hotel and thought it was just beautiful. "Just wanted to drop you a note, thanking you for the great hospitality I experienced the two weeks I was at the La Fonda. I can’t think of another place I would rather spend two weeks away from home. All of the staff was outstanding and I regret not getting the names of a couple of others.I did not have the first complaint from any of the attendees about the La Fonda or the staff.
