CHOCOLATE TOUR

Discover the spirit of chocolate!

Chocolate first made its North American debut one thousand years ago in New Mexico's Chaco Canyon. New Mexico has a long history of chocolate dating back nearly 1000 years ago when the Anasazi traded cocoa with the Mesoamericans for turquoise.

On this tour you will learn more about the rich history of chocolate and experience delicious tastes from the many amazing chocolatiers in Santa Fe.  You'll even have a chance to drink it in the same fashion as the Aztecs and Mayans.

Discover the interesting ways Santa Fe's chocolate shops infuse local ingredients like chile, piñon nuts and lavender into their creations. The Chocolate Tour visits several local shops that showcase their offerings and intriguing stories.
